The proportional representation system is being used in this election and every vote counts towards getting Green MEPs elected.Scott Ainslie our lead Green MEP candidate for London (Jean Lambert, the current Green MEP for the London region, is standing down after 20 years in the role.) is visited Sutton Green Party and Sutton XR 7:30pm - 8:30pm Tuesday 7th May in Hackbridge. Scott Ainslie is an elected Green Party councillor in Lambeth since 2014. Activists were keen to ask about Lambeth council having already declared a Climate and Ecological Emergency and what can be learnt from there to ensure we secure a Climate and Ecological Emergency declaration in Sutton.

Scott Ainslie, pointed out we have one vote in the European Election on 23rd May and according to proportional representation 8 MEPs will be elected to represent us in the European Union for London.
